Purpose
“Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all to the glory of God.”
1 Corinthians 10: 31
The Youth Ministry here at OTBC is focused on students becoming more concerned about being authentic in their walks with the Lord rather than being accepted by the world. Our purpose is to personally engage students with God’s Word and provide them opportunities to apply the Word both in their lives and in the world around them. We do so by emphasizing Christ-centered evangelism, fellowship, discipleship, Bible study, prayer and worship. We want to both equip and encourage our youth to allow God to use them in amazing ways and to come to the realization that wherever they may find themselves, to know one thing for sure, God has them there for a reason. God wants to use each of them in such powerful ways in their chemistry class, in the drum line, on the offensive/ defensive line, in the lunch line, on the Yearbook staff and on the cheerleading/ dance team. The heart behind our ministry is that each student truly seek to make their ‘WHATEVER’ count for something and allow God to use their ‘WHATEVER” to reach others for Christ. God has given each student gifts and talents in order to first glorify Him, and second in order to be a blessing to others.
